artist Petra Naumann takes found materials like cardboard to a new dimension.
She writes, "The study of painting determined many years of my artistic career. Figurative elements have been expressed through a gesticulatory manner. It was followed by the reduction of the formal language which found an adequate expression in the collage (see for example Table and Chair, Form and Pattern). "The third phase of my artistic evolution has been characterized through works in paper and cardboard. My interest is focused on the use of materials not only as a surface but as a medium. "The natural principles of creation, like growth und decline, inspires my working process. Used and worn-out materials realise my paintings and objects. A new reality is created." |
